Previous Mastering Examples & Work:
COMMONLY ASKED AUDIO MASTERING QUESTIONS 1. Do you need me to send the track-outs or separate files to the song?
NO... No, and No. I need a stereo mix-down of your song, not track-outs. Track-outs are needed for mixing, not my mastering service. mixing and mastering are two totally separate things.
2. What’s the difference between audio mixing and mastering?
Mixing is adjusting the individual tracks/individual instruments in of a song that were recorded, and mastering is what is done to the collective mix itself. Mastering is the last step before releasing your music. Audio mastering can help a song achieve a more significant sonic impact in some cases or gel together a mix. Mastering also keeps volumes and characteristics of multiple mixes consistent in an album or EP format as well.
3. How does online payment and delivery work?
Payments are made in full Before we do any work whatsoever on your tracks. After payment send files with a message stating: MASTERING + Your name in the notes via www.wetransfer.com Or dropbox, You can also email [email protected] if you have any questions about your order.
4. How do I get my mix ready for online mastering?
There are a few things to keep in mind when getting a mix ready to send off for mastering. Here’s a list of pointers that will help keep your audio sounding it’s best:
A. NO effects (compression, limiting, EQ, etc) on you master stereo output track. That's our job not the guy mixing. Effects on your individual tracks is not what I'm talking about here.. I mean the master buss, Be sure that no quasi-mastering was done on the file you submit. If your song has master buss compression or plugins like Ozone, T-racks, etc used on the master channel please remove those effects before sending.
B. Make sure your WAV file isn't clipping. Clipping and distortion cannot be magically fixed by mastering, sorry. All orders are processed assuming you have read this, if you send "maxed out", clipping files and aren't happy with the results, that's your fault and there will be no refund as this is something that cannot be remedied with mastering. If you want to send the song so I can tell you if it's appropriate, feel free to contact me before purchase! (contact form at bottom of page)
C. Be sure you send a version of the mix you are happy with and the correct version.
D. I highly recommend you send in WAV file format for mastering and not MP3's. 6. Do you charge extra for revisions?
If a revision is needed because you are not satisfied with your mastering service, revisions are absolutely free.
