If you gonna operate as a business and be an entrepreneur you need a business plan. So many artists in hip-hop plans are: “go platinum, get rich, get women, smoke purp!” – you need to get real. When the average business owner opens a pizza shop or a dollar store, sure earning money is a goal, but they also are planning on taxes, employment cost, business licenses, inventory, future locations, etc. YOU NEED TO THINK LIKE A REAL BUSINESS. So many people are chasing distribution deals, that’s cool but you gotta be a REAL business for a major corporation to take you seriously and invest in you. You need to have Ledgers and books on your earnings and all that shit, business license, copyrights for your catalog, publishing established etc. This shit is not a game.. play it like its a game and you will get played in the end. Go to the local bookstore or amazon.com and buy books on running a music business and get your fuckin weight up! #realtalk
