UK Hip-Hop Scene... Mastering The Craft
Fate and circumstances landed Joey Cutless in the United Kingdom in 2001. The hip-hop scene in England was unheard of in America and Joey felt that his chances of success in music there were impossible. To his surprise there was a vibrant hip-hop scene in the UK. Joey Cutless entered and dominated dozens of freestyle competitions including MTV's "Eight-Mile" battle event to promote the film of the same name. Energized by this success, Joey self-produced and recorded his debut solo album "London 2 Atl", personally distributing CDs to record stores and selling every single copy (1,000 total). It created a buzz on the UK underground. Along the way he got to work with and open up for acts like Roots Manuva, So solid crew, Task Force & Miss Dynamite. At an interview at a pirate station in London a DJ gave Joey a pirated copy of "Fruity Loops", and his production style drastically improved. Everyone who purchased "London 2 ATL" asked:
"WHO MADE THESE BEATS?"
"WHO MADE THESE BEATS?"

Joey Cutless has even assisted the United States government in special audio related projects due to his renown expertise in engineering and audio restoration techniques.
